A Flash Flood Watch will be in effect for much of the area Friday.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop on and off throughout the day. There will be many dry hours, but when it does rain, the precipitation will be heavy at times, leading to potential flooding in some areas.
The heaviest, most widespread rain will arrive late this afternoon and this evening before tapering off by sunrise Saturday. Most of the region will see a half-inch to inch of rain through Friday night. However, some areas getting stronger thunderstorms will see more than 2 inches of rain through Friday night.
Showers start heading out Saturday. Sunday will be sunny and warm.
