The fight against fentanyl: How the deadly drug is sneaking through southern border checkpoints

We’re on the front lines of the United States’ fight against fentanyl.

The most recent data from the CDC shows an estimated 108,000 people died from a fentanyl overdose between Feb. 2021 and Feb. 2022.

Fentanyl overdoses are now the leading cause of death for ages 18-54 in America.

Channel 11′s Blair Miller went to the Southern Border to learn how the deadly drug is sneaking through border checkpoints and getting into our communities.
