BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. — Police said a man accused of biting a teenage girl’s finger at a concert earlier this month turned himself in Monday afternoon.

According to the criminal complaint, Zachary Leone, 22, of Aliquippa bit a part of the teen’s finger off at the Lady Antebellum concert on June 2 at the First Niagara Pavilion.

Investigators said Leone and the 17-year-old girl used to date and got into an altercation prior to the biting. Leone denies biting the girl.

Investigators said Leone told officials the girl jumped on his back when he and her new boyfriend got into a fight. He thinks she injured her finger during the altercation.

“My understanding is that she got involved and sustained the injury. My client denies that he caused the injury,” defense attorney Steve Colafella said.

He is facing aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person charges.
