PITTSBURGH — A man was remembered Tuesday, three years after being killed in Pittsburgh.
Candles mark a memorial for Deray Pearson.
Pearson was shot in his back and dumped on a sidewalk in June of 2008, police said.
The shooting happened in broad daylight. Police haven’t tracked down the shooter.
"It has been hard. It has really been hard because every year we go through this, and we suffer as a family. We miss Ray," said Crystal Pearson, Ray Pearson’s mother.
She hopes the gunman realizes how much pain he has caused.
"How do you sleep at night? You know you took another person's life. How do you get to walk the street and Ray is not here now?" said Crystal Pearson.
