McKEES ROCKS, Pa. — An argument outside a bar ended with a man being fatally shot early Friday morning in McKees Rocks, investigators said.

Police and paramedics were called about 1:30 a.m. to Olivia and Washington streets, outside Becker's Cafe. Juan Green, 31, was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital, where he died.

According to a criminal complaint, Green was leaving the bar with several other people when two of them got into an argument. A group of three men who had also been in the bar walked by and one of them, Tyree Davis, 33, said something to people arguing.

Green took issue with Davis' comment and a scuffle ensued, according to the complaint. A witness told police there was a gunshot, and Green staggered into the street and fell.

Davis and two other men fled in a white sedan, police said. Later Friday, police arrested Davis after a brief SWAT situation at a West End home.

Green’s cousin, Marnettea Reed, said Green had been with another family member and girlfriend.

“I guess they went out to have a good time, a nice evening, and he didn't come back home, so we just want to know why they killed him,” Reed said. “You never think it'll strike your own family.”

The county trauma response team was in the neighborhood Friday night, speaking to neighbors.

"Right here, we've sensed, I think, surprise and shock, and I don't know that that ever goes away," said the Rev. Paul Abernathy, who leads FOCUS Pittsburgh. "Our hearts break for the families of the victims. Our hearts break for the community."
