Body found in lake at Kiski Township club, police say

KISKI TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police are investigating after a body was found in the lake of a Kiski Township club Wednesday afternoon.

According to a release, multiple police departments received calls around 5 p.m. about “suspicious activity” around the lake area of the Apollo Spring Church Sportsman Club, along with a missing person report.

Investigators said the information led them to believe the person was in the lake. Area dive teams conducted a search of the lake and sometime later retrieved a body from water.

That victim was identified by the Armstrong County coroner’s office as Timothy Brueggeman, 56.

The coroner said he likely had a “cardiac event” in a canoe and fell into the water, and his body was found about 125 feet away from the boating dock.

There were no signs of drowning, according to officials.
