ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A gymnastics instructor was arrested and charged after police found him in his vehicle at a North Hills gas station inappropriately touching himself.
According to court documents, Ross Township police found Kinsey Basko with his pants around his ankles in the front seat of his car. He told them he is an instructor at Jewart’s Gymnastics in Hampton.
Basko was in his car performing a sex act at the GetGo gas station on McKnight Road, according to police, around 8 p.m. one evening in July.
According to the criminal complaint, Basko was watching pornography on his phone and told the officer he was “taking care of business,” but then apologized, saying he “got carried away.”
Basko was heading home from work as a gymnastics instructor at Jewart’s Gymnastics, police said.
The owner, Elaine Jewart, told Channel 11 that Basko has worked there for ten years and is well liked, well respected and an excellent employee.
However, she says he is not currently coaching because he took personal leave and they are waiting to see what happens in court. She also said this has nothing to do with the center or its kids.
Channel 11 learned Basko was a former head girls gymnastics coach at Hampton Township School District, but the district says he has not been employed by the school since 2019.

Basko’s attorney, Michael Pawk, says his client is addressing some personal issues and hopes the case gets resolved.
His preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday morning, but his attorney said it’s now been postponed to January.
