PITTSBURGH — Single digit temperatures and snow showers will set the stage for icy spots early Wednesday.
A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for part of the area ahead of the next round of winter weather coming our way.

Even treated surfaces could be slick on Wednesday morning, so watch the first steps out the door. With temperatures this cold, regular rock salt is not effective at melting ice.
After a brief break, the next system brings snow back into the area early Thursday. The latest track keeps the steadiest snow south and east of Pittsburgh, but snow could impact the Thursday morning commute.
Another round of snow and a possible wintry mix will move through Thursday into Friday. Early indications are that Pittsburgh could see 4 to 6 inches of snow.
Stay with Severe Weather Team 11 as we update the timing of the system’s arrival.
