Several Meta apps are down across the country according to reports
Thousands of people reported issues with Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp users, WPIX reported.
On Meta’s business products status page, a couple of features were listed as “recovering from disruptions.”
On DownDetector.com, people said they’re getting error messages and cannot post.
Forbes reported that the outages started coming in around 12:30 p.m. ET with more than 100,000 reporting issues by 1:20 p.m. ET.
For some users, they received the message “We’re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can,” The Verge reported.
In addition to reports from across the U.S. there were also reports of outages in several countries, 9to5Mac said.
Meta admitted there was a technical issue, Reuters reported.
The platform wrote on X, “We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience.”
