MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A customer who was upset with her wait time opened fire Tuesday in a Tennessee Burger King drive-thru, investigators said.
Memphis police said the woman was in the drive-thru line when she got out of the passenger seat of a vehicle, walked up to the window and started arguing with employees, WHBQ reported.
Surveillance video shows the woman get a handgun from the car, lean through the drive-thru window and fire multiple shots at workers.
The employees ran out a back door and were not hit.
Burger King said it is working with investigators.
“We do not tolerate or condone violence of any kind at our restaurants because the safety of our team members and guests is our top priority,” the restaurant told WHBQ. “Fortunately, no one in the restaurant was injured during this incident. The restaurant operator is fully cooperating with authorities on their ongoing investigation.”
No arrests have yet been made.
