Water main break in Brighton Heights causes road closure

PITTSBURGH — A water main break in Brighton Height caused a road closure on Saturday.

The break happened near the intersection of California Avenue and Wittmer Street. Reports of the break began coming in at around 6:45 a.m.

The Pittsburgh Water and Sewage Authority said a six-inch line broke.

Service to at least 24 customers was restored just after noon.

Wittmer Street was closed from California Avenue and Cambronne Street while repairs were made.
