Vinny Vella, an actor known for his roles in "Casino" and "The Sopranos," has died, according to TMZ. He was 72.
The tabloid site reported that he was battling liver cancer, according to his son, Vinny Vella Jr.
“We are saddened to report that Vinny Vella has passed, and I’m sure that no one is more saddened than himself,” a representative for the actor said Wednesday. “Vinny loved life, from his family to his friends and fans; he was easily one of the funniest, endearing actors to have ever graced the screen.”
According to the actor's official website, the New York native has appeared in more than 40 films, including "Analyze That" with Robert DeNiro.
