11 haunted houses to visit this October

PITTSBURGH — October is upon us and that means Halloween! For many people, celebrating means checking out haunted attractions in the days and weeks leading up to it. Here are 11 Haunted Houses we found in the Pittsburgh area:

Demon House 
417 Coyle Curtain Road
Monongahela, PA 15063

Demon House is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights through Saturday Nov. 3. General admission tickets are $20 and give you access to all the of Demon House grounds and attractions.

Haunted Hills Hayride
500 Mossside Boulevard
North Versailles, PA 15137

The Haunted Hills Hayride is open from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 3. It is also open Sundays in October from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Select weekdays are also available. Sunday admission is $15. The cost of the hayride is $15 on Fridays and Saturdays and $13 on all other days. Guests can also take the Valley of Darkness Haunted Walking Trail for an additional fee.

Hundred Acres Manor
1 Hundred Acre Drive
Bethel Park, PA 15102

For $20 – you get access to 6 themed sections of the haunted house. Escape Rooms are an additional $25 dollars. Hundred Acres Manor is open from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. It closes on Nov. 3.

Haunted Hills Estate
236 Rolling Hills Estate Road
Uniontown, PA 15401

Instead of tickets, you’ll need to buy toe tags for this haunted attraction in Fayette County. The estate is open Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets for one attraction on Fridays and Saturdays will cost you $15 per person. Sundays are $14 per person.

Scarehouse
118 Locust Street
Etna, PA 15223

Scarehouse calls itself ‘Pittsburgh’s Scariest Haunted House.’ General admission tickets cost $16. You can get your frights between 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 27. Scarehouse is also open Thursdays nights until 10 p.m. and Sundays until at least 9 p.m.

Scary Harry’s Hunted Trails
1703 Pierce Road
Homer City, PA 15748

Scary Harrys is open starting at 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays through the end of October. On Sundays, the trails are open from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets will cost $15 dollars per person, with $1 going to the ICCAP Food Bank.

Phantom Fright Nights
West Mifflin

Phantom Fright Nights will be held Fridays and Saturdays through Halloween from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Sundays Oct. 7 and 28 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Admission costs $33.99 unless you buy your tickets online.

Trail of Terror
Carnegie Park, Forsyth Road

The Trail of Terror is open from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Oct. 19, 20, 26 and 27. According to its Facebook page, the Trail of Terror is completely redesigned this year and a ‘must see’ for Halloween fun. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Castle Blood

Monessen, PA 15062

Castle Blood has a haunted adventure tour that features a game that offers challenges for participants. The ticket booth is open from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays. General Admission is $20.

Zombies of the Corn
Freedom

Zombies of the Corn is open Friday and Saturday nights through Oct. 13. Starting Oct. 19, it’s open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Hours for all nights are from 7p.m. until midnight, but the last ride leaves at 11:15 p.m. Online reservations are suggested. Adult admission is $34.99. Children under age 10 cost $24.99.

Eerie Acres Farm
386 Eagle Mill Road
Butler, PA 16001

Eerie Acres Farm is a haunted house that is open from dusk until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights through Oct. 27. General admission tickets are $15. Fast passes cost $25.
