PITTSBURGH — "NBC Nightly News" anchor Lester Holt is making a stop in Pittsburgh Thursday to shoot the second "Across America" special that reports on issues impacting hometowns across America.
The series builds on Holt’s January 2016 “Across America” tour, when he traveled the country speaking to Americans about the nation’s most pressing issues leading up to Inauguration Day. Viewers can follow Holt's progress on Twitter by searching for the #LesterAcrossAmerica hashtag.
Watch Holt's NBC Nightly News report from Pittsburgh Thursday night, right after Channel 11 News at 6 p.m.
His focus in Pittsburgh will be on the city's reinvention as a technology hub, visiting startup companies and talking to residents who feel that the new investment and redevelopment has left some of them behind.
Holt's "Across America" special is tackling issues of job creation, reducing crime and opioid addiction. He'll also bring attention to local issues with national implications, and tell the stories of Americans who are transforming their communities and inspiring others.
"NBC Nightly News" broadcasts weekdays at 6:30 p.m. on Channel 11.
