PITTSBURGH — Mike Richards and Mayim Bialik have both been named as the new hosts of ‘Jeopardy!’
According to a news release from Sony Pictures Television, Richards will kick off Season 38 as the full-time host of the show. Bialik will join as the host of the show’s primetime and spinoff series, including the upcoming ‘Jeopardy! National College Championship’ set to air next year.

The all-time winner of ‘Jeopardy!’ - Ken Jennings - will return as a consulting producer for the show.
“Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined being chosen to step into a role of this magnitude,” Richards said in the news release.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to join the ‘Jeopardy!’ family,” Bialik said in the release.
‘Jeopardy! National College Championship’ is an all-new tournament which will air in primetime next year. It will feature 15 colleges from across the country going head-to-head for two weeks.

Richards is an executive producer for the popular game show and had been in advanced negotiations to be the next permanent host of the show after the death of beloved host Alex Trebek. He has previously hosted shows for GSN and other networks. Richards is also a co-executive producer for ‘The Price is Right.’
Bialik is an award-winning actress, author, host and neuroscientist, know for her role on the comedy ‘The Big Bang Theory.’ Outside of television, she is the host of a mental health podcast and recently wrote and directed her first feature film.
New episodes will launch Sept. 13.
