PITTSBURGH — Primanti Bros. and East End Brewing partnered again to create the ‘Almost Famous Pickle Beer.’
Kind of a big dill, it’s available only at Primanti Bros. restaurants and East Brewing Co. Brewpub.
In addition to the usual hops and barley, this year’s batch was made with 1,600 pounds of fresh cucumbers that were peeled, chopped, pureed and juiced on-site at East End Brewing. It was brewed with dill, sea salt, peppercorn and lemon, a new ingredient this year.
You might find yourself in a pickle: it has sold out in less than 48 hours in previous years.
