The four-time Emmy Award-nominated series “American Ninja Warrior” will be returning to Channel 11 a bit sooner than expected with an epic showdown: “USA vs. The World.”
The two-hour special will air Sunday at 9 p.m. and will feature top competitors from Team USA, Team Europe and - - for the first time - - Team Australia going head-to-head.

Host Akbar Gbajabiamila and sideline reporter, Zuri Hall sat down with “See and Be Seen” to talk about what we can expect from this global competition that they describe as the Olympics of the hit show.
NBC has renewed “American Ninja Warrior” for its ninth season. Production will begin in the spring with a premiere date to be determined. However, NBC said the three cities for the season are Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and St. Louis.
The show’s national finals will once again take place in Las Vegas.
Gbajabiamila and co-host Matt Iseman, along with Hall, will also return for the obstacle course competition series.
