The house in the 1400 block of Western Avenue was knocked off its foundation by the truck, which rolled down a hill, officials said.
Dorene Bair were shocked when she saw the truck on the side of her home.
"I was at work when I got the call from my son and by boss drove me home," Bair said.
The truck's driver was trying to get the trash from a neighboring house when the truck got stuck on a curb. The driver ultimately lost control and crashed into Bair's house. Now, half of the building's chimney is gone.
The condition of the person who was injured was not immediately available.
