ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. — A 1-year-old boy was injured by flying glass during a “targeted” drive-by shooting in the Braddock Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh Friday afternoon, according to police.
Police said the shooting happened around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Yost Boulevard and Brinton Road.
After an initial investigation, detectives said three children -- including the 1-year-old -- and their parents were traveling in a white Kia Optima when “unknown individuals" began firing gunshots from another vehicle.
Police believe that the 27-year-old father was the target of the shooting, but no one was struck by gunfire.
Chopper 11 flew over the large police presence at two different locations on Yost Boulevard.
