Johnstown ‘Money Man’ creates scavenger hunt, hiding prizes in community

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — A Johnstown man is gifting people in his community a fun experience with potentially big prizes.

He posts clues on Snapchat under the account name Moneymanmf.

After adding him as a friend, Snapchat users wait until he posts a clue onto his Snapchat story.

“I’ll just drop random clues every once in a while whenever I decide. The clues will lead you to the prizes or lead you to more clues which will eventually lead you to the prizes,” Money Man told WJAC.

“So far we’ve hidden AirPods and cool gadgets around town. $100 bills. We had some video contests all on Snapchat.”

Asked why he's spending so much money on prizes, Money Man said it is a small price to pay.

"I’m trying to create fun around this town for families and kids to do together. It's cool seeing kids to try and find something you hid. It's something you created," said Money Man.

"People hit me up on Snapchat and tell me that 'You are the coolest thing that has happened to Johnstown ever.' And that's what I’m trying to create," said Money Man.

All that positive feedback is leading up to bigger and bigger prizes.

“So with each drop we are upping the creativity and prizes. The next drop will be in a store at the galleria, 6 o’clock on Friday,” said Money Man.
