Artist Simon Beck is his work to new heights and using only his shoes.
The Englishman has been carefully stepping around the Alps of France making art in the snow. He started making the vast patterns in 2004 and says it started as just a good way to exercise. A mapmaker by trade, the orienteering enthusiast started using a compass to make the designs. Each pattern takes hours of careful work to complete but only lasts until the next snowfall.
