FOX CHAPEL, Pa. — In a letter sent home to parents and students, officials in the Fox Chapel School District said they are dealing with several COVID-19 related issues.
Here is the text of the letter in full:
On Friday afternoon, Fox Chapel Area School District learned that an employee tested positive for COVID-19. The district followed its Health and Safety Plan, contacted the Allegheny County Health Department, and followed its guidance notifying those who were in close contact with the individual.
On Sunday, the district learned that a second employee tested positive for COVID-19 and followed the same process.
No students were considered in close contact with these employees, and those adults who were considered close contacts were notified.
Fox Chapel Area School District will continue to work with the Allegheny County Health Department when it has positive cases to notify those who need to know about potential exposure while protecting the privacy of individuals, as outlined in the Health and Safety Plan.
As always, the health and safety of our school community is our top priority.
