SHIPPINGPORT, Pa. — The Beaver Valley Power Station in Shippingport will remain open as its owner has pulled back plans to close the plant.
Energy Harbor Corp. announced on Friday that it has pulled back its deactivation notices with PJM Interconnection, the regional power grid operator. As a result, two units at Beaver Valley Power Station won’t be deactivated in 2021. The units have total capacity of 1,872 MW.
