Google to expand space at Bakery Square

PITTSBURGH — Google will grow its space at Bakery Square by three floors in 2021, according to a news release.

The expansion brings Google’s Bakery Square space to 320,000 square feet, but a Google representative did not specify how much space it currently occupies at Bakery Square. Google, which employs 760 people in Pittsburgh, will move into the first floor of the Bakery Square 1 building and into the third and fourth floors of the Bakery Square 2 building.

“Google has always been a wonderful community partner, and their latest investment in Pittsburgh is yet another great sign for our residents and the future of our city,” Pittsburgh Mayor William Peduto said in a prepared statement.
