One of Pittsburgh’s biggest employers expects staffers to work remotely through the rest of 2020

PITTSBURGH — See you in September has switched to next year at one of Pittsburgh’s biggest employers.

BNY Mellon has extended the timeline for employees working remotely. The majority of its 48,300 employees worldwide have been doing so since March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Our top priority remains the health and safety of our employees and our clients,” Madelyn McHugh, vice president, external communications, said via email. “A majority of our global employee base continues to work remotely and they should expect to continue to do so through at least Jan. 1, 2021. We remain operational and responsive to client needs during this time.”
