PITTSBURGH — The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board reported its financials for its fiscal year 2019-20 which found its first annual sales decline since 1993-94 despite reporting a record level of net income according to unaudited financial results.

Sales, including liquor and sales taxes, totaled $2.56 billion over the past fiscal year, a decrease of $110.9 million or 4.15% from the previous year’s sales of $2.67 billion PLCB said. Net income, however, reached a record-breaking $208.7 million, an increase of $17.7 million or 9.2% compared to the prior fiscal year and exceeded its $185.1 million contribution to the state’s General Fund by $23.6 million.
