PITTSBURGH — PGH Candle, specializing in making small batch soy candles now available in a host of shops and retail locations in western Pennsylvania, is ready to open its first retail shop of its own.
The local venture, which has been in business since 2016, announced that it will open its first brick-and-mortar store at 839 Phineas Street, a location near the East Ohio Street business district between the Courtyard Hotel and the Teutonia Mannerchor German Club.
PGH Candle is slated to open on Saturday, November 26, the weekend after Thanksgiving amid the traditional start of the holiday shopping season on a date that is being promoted as Small Business Saturday, the local independent retail response to Black Friday.
