PIT lands another set of nonstop flights from Southwest Airlines

Southwest Airlines Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) has landed another set of nonstop flights from Dallas-based Southwest Airlines Co., though service for both flights won’t start until near the end of the year.

FINDLAY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) has landed another set of nonstop flights from Dallas-based Southwest Airlines Co., though service for both flights won’t start until near the end of the year.

Beginning Nov. 20 and on select dates until Jan. 1, 2022, Southwest will begin offering nonstop service to Miami, and a few days later on Nov. 23, Southwest will begin servicing Pittsburgh to Austin, Texas, through select dates until Jan. 3, 2022. Austin makes the third city in Texas that Southwest is connecting to Pittsburgh with nonstop service.

“We’re continuing to expand our service bringing low fares, flexible policies, and world-famous hospitality to more people, making it easier to choose Southwest,” Andrew Watterson, Southwest’s chief commercial officer and executive vice president, said in a release announcing a nationwide expansion of service.
