PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh-based Industrial Scientific and Municipal Emergency Services were awarded a $500,000 contract to provide emergency response teams with proprietary gas detection equipment and safety systems according to a company press release.
Industrial Scientific's solution will replace outdated and ill-performing equipment while improving safety for first responders and the general public the statement said. The new equipment will also allow for enhanced visibility of gas hazards.
“This group is leading the way in adopting connected safety solutions in the fire industry,” Holly Mazzia, district manager for Industrial Scientific, said in a statement. “These departments now have robust gas detection and connected safety programs that give the power of knowledge and data to every team, from the larger regional response team, all the way down to smaller volunteer fire departments.”
