PITTSBURGH — Two Pittsburgh universities are among the best 100 higher education institutions in the nation according to the latest annual rankings from the U.S. News & World Report as part of its 2021 Best Colleges list.
Carnegie Mellon University ranked No. 26 on the list of best national universities, a small dip from last year’s ranking of No. 25. U.S. News & World Report also ranked the university as No. 10 in Best Colleges for Veterans and No. 18 for Best Undergraduate Teaching.
The University of Pittsburgh came in at No. 58 on the list of the nation’s best universities, which also fell slightly from last year’s ranking of No. 57. Pitt ranked No. 30 on the list of Best Colleges for Veterans and No. 50 on the list of Most Innovative Schools.
Duquesne University, while not in the top 100, came in at No. 143 on the list which fell from last year’s placement of No. 132. U.S. News & World Report ranked the university as No. 100 in Best Colleges for Veterans and No. 51 in Best Value Schools. Pittsburgh’s Chatham University and Robert Morris University also ranked among the top 200, coming in at Nos. 187 and 196, respectively.
