PITTSBURGH — In April, one downtown Pittsburgh restaurant saw $16,209 of orders come through GrubHub, but after paying the third-party fees for the delivery service, the restaurant took home only $6,858 of those sales. In the same month, the city of Pittsburgh saw a $3 million deficit to the city’s budget compared to April the year prior, mostly due to loss of parking revenue.
These issues—heightened by the Covid-19 pandemic— are among the problems PittsCurb believes it can fix.
PittsCurb is an idea born from the first Pittsburgh Civic Hackathon, hosted by the Pittsburgh Technology Council and RustBuilt.
