PNC shuttering nine branches, one’s near Pittsburgh

(GARY HIGGINS / BOSTON BUSINESS JOURNAL)

PITTSBURGH — PNC Financial Services Group Inc. is cutting another nine branches, including one in Pittsburgh, according to a regulatory filing.

The local site is at 925 Fourth Ave. in Coraopolis, and marks the 11th closure application by PNC (NYSE:PNC) in southwestern Pennsylvania so far this year.

It is being consolidated with the newly built Moon Township branch at 931 Brodhead Road on Jan. 21, PNC confirmed. The Brodhead Road location is opening in December, replacing the current branches at Beaver Grade Road and 5960 University Blvd., which means three branches will be consolidating into the new facility.
