PITTSBURGH — Market Square is about to go on a bit of a diet for restaurant options.

Partners Ron Molinaro and Bob Wolfinger weren't immediately available for comment but various sources, including the executive director of the Downtown CDC, indicate that upscale Italian restaurant Molinaro Ristorante has closed in Market Square.

Just beyond it, the same sources indicate that Wolfie’s Pub and a pop-up bar, that most recently operated through the holidays as the Jingle Bar, have also been closed permanently as well.

The restaurant group tells Channel 11′s Mike Holden they will honor gift cards from Molinaro and Wolfies soon at Nola and IL Pizzaiolo in the Warrendale and Indiana Township, Hampton area.

However, gift cards are not accepted at Pizzaiolo Primo in Market Square. That restaurant was sold off a few years back is no longer part of their restaurant group.
