PITTSBURGH — Brookfield Properties has landed what looks to be the first new restaurant to commit to the Freight House Shops as the company works to redevelop the complex in a process pushed back by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tupelo Honey, a restaurant that started in Asheville, North Carolina, but has taken its approach to Southern cuisine to nearly 20 locations throughout the country, has committed to opening its first location in Pennsylvania in a 5,000-square-foot location within the Freight House Shops at Station Square, according to an announcement by CBRE, which represents Station Square.
The new restaurant is expected to open in late 2021.
