These local high schools sent the most grads to Harvard, Princeton & MIT

PITTSBURGH — The U.S. News and World Report has consistently ranked Harvard, Princeton and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as being among the best colleges and universities in the nation. For many local students, getting accepted into one of these prestigious institutions is a dream and an even fewer number of these students end up receiving admittance.

PolarisList, which describes itself as the largest aggregator of Harvard, Princeton and MIT admittance data for U.S. high schools, released its most recent dataset for college classes ranging between the years of 2015 through 2018. To be included in the PolarisList data, high school graduates had to have attended Harvard, Princeton or MIT during this timespan. In total, at least 72 students from 32 Pittsburgh-area high schools have attended one of these three institutions during this three-year period.
