These Pittsburgh banks among the best in the world, according to Forbes

PITTSBURGH — Four banks whose headquarters are within the 10-county Pittsburgh metro are among the world’s best banks, according to a newly released ranking published by Forbes.

The annual ranking listed 435 banks including 75 in the U.S. The full international list is alphabetical but rankings were provided by specific country.

Dollar Bank, based downtown, was No. 23 in the U.S. breakout, highest ranking for a local.

PNC Financial Services Group Inc. was 45th, First Commonwealth Financial Corp. was No. 50 and F.N.B. Corp. was 63rd.
