About 12 years ago, he was even the subject of an article in his hometown newspaper for camping out for tickets.
Now he is dying of spindle cell sarcoma and in July, was given just two months to live.
His greatest hope now is also his dying wish: to see the latest installment of the movie before he passes away.
"The Force Awakens" is scheduled for nationwide release on Dec. 18.
