Death of woman found near trail considered 'suspicious'

Officials are treating the death of a woman found near a trail in Johnstown as suspicious, said the Cambria County coroner.
The woman was identified as 26-year-old Kaylene Roedel of Blairsville. Her body was found a few feet from the Honan Avenue trail at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The trail is used for hiking and biking.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — "She was a very friendly person… I was shocked," said neighbor Marsha Hoak. 

The woman was identified as 26-year-old Kaylene Roedel of Blairsville. Her body was found a few feet from the Honan Avenue trail at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The trail is used for hiking and biking.

Roedel was the mother of a 4-year-old daughter and infant son, WJAC-TV reported.

"Kaylene is a very loving mother... Now 2 babies ain't gonna have their mother," said a friend who did not want to be identified.

Investigators are awaiting toxicology results to determine a case of death.
