Driver Injured In Banana Truck Accident On Pa. Turnpike

NEW STANTON, Pa.,None — A truck hauling bananas crashed on the Pennsylvania turnpike in New Stanton, Westmoreland County on Tuesday night.

Police said the truck went over the guardrail.

Channel 11 was at the scene as crews cleaned up hundreds of spilled bananas.

The driver was taken to a local hospital. That person's name and condition haven't been released.

There's no word on what caused the crash.
