Employers are checking social media to see if workers are really sick

A new

found that more than a third of bosses have caught an employee lying about being sick by checking social media.

27 percent of those have been fired; 55 percent only got a talking to.

The study also found that the number of workers who give a fake-sick call has declined from 38 percent to 35 percent over the last year.
