PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A Fedex driver was shot and robbed while making a delivery in Philadelphia Tuesday night.
Investigators said the driver was approached by the robber as he walked up to a home around 7 p.m.
The robber opened fire and shot the driver in the abdomen.
Police said the driver was armed with his own weapon and returned fire, striking the robber several times.

The injured robber managed to escape with multiple stolen items.
Police later found the suspected robber, who was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.
The driver is reportedly in stable condition at a local hospital.
A Fedex spokesperson declined to comment on whether employees are allowed to carry weapons while on the job and said they are “cooperating fully with the investigating authorities at this time.”
