PITTSBURGH — A fire early Tuesday on Pittsburgh’s South Side began in one home and spread to a nearby home and a business.
Firefighters were called about 2 a.m. to South 15th Street.
The flames spread from one home to an attached home and a business that was being renovated.
“It's a big fear of mine, especially down here on the South Side. Streets are narrow and people are really close together,” neighbor Brian Surmacz said.
The fire reached three alarms before crews were able to bring it under control shortly before 4 a.m.
Four adults were displaced by the fire. No one was hurt.
The Red Cross and Salvation Army were providing assistance to those who needed it.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
