STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Six people were forced out of Stowe Township apartments early Tuesday morning by a fire, officials said.

The fire was reported shortly after 3 a.m. on Island Avenue. Investigators said it is believed to have started in a first-floor apartment, but the woman who lives there was not home.

Channel 11’s Brittny McGraw spoke with a woman who was inside the building when the fire started. She said she went door-to-door to alert neighbors.

No one was hurt.

A fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
