City officials say an estimated 1200 people per day were visiting the Astoria, Oregon house that appeared in the 1985 film "The Goonies."
Tourism to the house has surged over the past 5 years and one neighbor says that fans show up before dawn or well after dark. Some of them leaving behind cigarette butts and beer bottles.
So just a few months after the film's 30th anniversary, the owner of the home has put up signs and tarps and is asking fans to stay away.
Many visitors are disappointed, but city officials say that once people started disrespecting the property, the owner decided that enough was enough.
