PITTSBURGH — Singing star Jackie Evancho helped Hance Elementary celebrate Read Across America on Wednesday.
Read Across America takes place annually on Dr. Seuss's birthday.
Evancho, 15, read "Oh, the Places You'll Go" to first, second and third grade students.
The soprano told the students reading is a passion of hers along with music, of course.
Evancho actually attended Hance Elementary, which is in the Pine Richland School District.
Evancho received national attention on "America's Got Talent" in 2010. She has since released several Billboard ranked albums and appeared in the movie "The Company you Keep" with Robert Redford. She's currently working on new music.
