NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Construction workers are back to work in the Majestic Hills neighborhood in North Strabane Township, hauling away dirt and cutting down trees.
Contractors tore down two homes on Friday that officials were worried would go over the hillside.
The township manager said a third house does not have to be demolished and that the slide is now stable.
According to Township Manager Andrew Walzz, officials are now considering a retaining wall to support the hillside.
"We contacted a firm that handled the Route 30 slide early this morning. The engineer is taking a look at the wall at the base and up above," he said.
The developer of majestic Hills in the township engineer have a meeting on Tuesday.
