Upper St. Clair Police said that around 2:24 a.m., officers observed a “suspicious” vehicle in the area of BJ’s Brewhouse that was reported stolen out of Baltimore. When officers attempted to approach the car, it fled toward Fort Couch Road.

According to a police report, the car swerved through the mall parking lot, hit a tree and kept going, jumping over curbs and nearly hitting police cars.

The pursuit ended when the car turned into the GetGo on Fort Couch Road hit a parked, nose-dived over a hill and plummeted onto the T tracks below.

The three suspects inside the vehicle took off running. One was caught right away, hiding in a creek. The other two managed to run nearly two miles into Bethel Park before they were caught at the intersection of Logan and Gatewood Drive in Bethel Park.

Police arrested Anthony Cuellar of Baltimore and two juveniles, saying all three escaped from a treatment facility 8 days ago.

Baltimore Police said they strong-arm carjacked an elderly man Thursday before making their way into Pittsburgh.

All three people inside the car ran away from the crash scene. Police said they were able to get all suspects quickly into custody.

Charges for the suspects are pending.
