PITTSBURGH — A man was shot while taking out the trash in Pittsburgh’s South Side Saturday evening.
Officials say Pittsburgh police, fire and EMS responded to a convenience store on the 2100 block of E. Carson Street around 10:30 p.m. for reports of a man shot.
Officers found the victim inside the store, where he returned after being shot in the upper right chest at the intersection of 22nd and East Carson Street.
Medics took the man to a hospital in critical condition, where he was later upgraded to stable.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene, and Violent Crime detectives continue the investigation.
