BUTLER, Pa. – A Butler man was charged after officers discovered 118 marijuana plants and other materials inside his home Monday, police said.
Officers responded to 605 Center Ave. to serve an emergency protection from abuse on the resident, Dennis Williams.
While at the home, officers said they came across evidence that indicated there may be a marijuana grow operation taking place there. A search warrant was obtained and executed around 6:45 p.m.
During the search, police discovered the marijuana plants in the basement plus several containers of dried marijuana throughout the house.

Drug paraphernalia also found at the home included bags of potting soil, numerous plastic planting pots in addition to various electronic devices, including industrial lighting, light timers, fans and heaters, according to the police report. Williams is facing several charges including manufacture of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
