“So sad,” said Virginia Monza, who lives across the street. “There was a lot of police, investigators, firetrucks, and first responders.”

Police were called to the home just before 3 p.m. Tuesday. Sources say they found two people shot in the garage.

The Beaver County Coroner said Joyce Kostandin, 41, was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and chest.

John Kostandin, 48, died from a self-inflicted gunshot.

“Very shocking, was not expecting that,” Monza told Channel 11′s Andrew Havranek.

Monza said she moved in about eight months ago and didn’t interact too much with the couple other than waving to each other a few times.

But, she and other neighbors who didn’t want to go on camera say this has shaken their small, quiet street.

She said the couple had children and had a message for them and their family in this difficult time.

“Prayers are with you, dear Lord. God bless you,’ she said.

State police are continuing to investigate.
